I bought the card for my new g1 t-mobil phone. It worked for a little while, maybe a week or two, then the phone stopped reading the card. I would then use the sd adaptor and insert it into my laptop, HP Pavilion dv6936 and same thing, would read and be alright for a while, files could be place and removed onto and from the card, but now my laptop is not reading the card anymore either.

Not sure there was a difference, I comes sold as a package. All it does say it is a Micro SD. It did work at one time. But actually have resolved it myself. Found receipt and exchanged it with new at Best Buy. So, I will go with your first note, it was a faulty card. thanks for the help and support and for all you who are having the same problem, sorry this did not help you all out.

    Thanks

Are you using an internal or external card reader? If it's external, what's the model of the card reader? If it's internal, what's the make/model of your computer?

From your description, it sounds like the card is faulty, not the computer or the card reader. If you can't get the card to read or write in any device now, then it's probably dead. Is the card reader you're using an SDHC card reader or just a regular SD card reader?

Why isn't my computer reading my micro sdhc card in a sdhc adapter, yet when i plug in a 'normal' sdhc card' it appears in my computer

The PC should be able to see 32GB.
Before the adapter, the first thing to check is the driver for the card reader.
The next most likely: the adapter is bad.
This is also a common problem

You need to get an SDHC to USB adapter. You can purchase one at Staples or any computer store.

There are no 16GB SD cards. A card that size is actually an SDHC card (yours actually sounds like a Micro-SDHC card). SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but they are slightly different. Many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

You really don't need a card this size on a still camera. 1Gb is plenty. If you really need more space, you can carry a spare, like people used to take extra films with them on holiday.

I don't know why the 512Mb card is giving you trouble. This might indicate an actual fault.

It sounds as if you have an SD card reader, not an SDHC card reader. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. SD devices are limited to cards 2GB and smaller. SDHC cards begin at 4GB and go up to 32GB.

I get a card reader error on my printer when i insert my PNY Micro SD card

Has the card worked before. If it is the first time you have tried,is the SD card an SDHC,as some printers will not read these.Try a standard SD card and see if your printer reads that.Hope this helps.

MMy motorola razr phone deosn't recognize 4 gb PNY

The 4gb card may be larger than the maximum card size that the phone can read. The maximum may be 1 or 2gb. If its over the maximum size supported the phone wont be able to recognise it

I have a 4gb micro sd card and it says that it only has a total of 146k of space on the disk. It won't let me copy anything on it. And i haven't placed anything on it-so i don't know why its out of space.

Is it a 4Gb micro sdHC? The 4 GB and above are all HC (High Capacity), and can only be read by HC reading devices. If you can see them at all, they will report some foolish size which yours is doing. They use a different protocal so they can not be read by a reader which is not HC. So what you need to do is get a HC capable reader.

Your 8GB card is considered "high capacity". You will need an SDHC USB card reader to read it.

If the 4gb micro SD is a high capacity SD (it will say micro SDHC on it) your player may not be able to read SDHC cards, my sansa can't because it's the 'older version' it will read 2gb and below micro SD cards though (it sucked when I found out because I had just bought a 6gb micro SDHC)
