Wiring? Hi there, i have purchased a computer with this motherboard in it. It has a Pentium D processor with 1 gb of ram (if this is needed). It came unassembled so i put it together. My problem is though that there must some sort of wiring problem (the manual isn't much help). I turn on my computer and went to install the operating system and it got as far as installing windows until for no reason at all it would shut down. It can turn back on, but at that point all the time, it shuts down. I have taken out all the wires with the computer next to me. And useful help and manuals? Many thanks.

It depends on your motherboard type. Open up the case and look at the number of ram slots and what's written beside them. if ti's DDR2 or ddR3 then it can but normally it's supposed to
you can on this motherboard models for your intel Pentium 4 processor, 1. ASUS P4P800 Deluxe 2.MSI Neo2-FIS2R 3.ASUS P4C800 Deluxe 4.Intel D865PERL 5. ABIT IS7
Yes you can install 2 512 mb RAM for 1Gb in motherboard. But make sure both 512 RAM are same in configuration and frequency it is better you purchase both ram of same company. Then it works. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.
I have to assume the sound is derived from the mother board. We'll need the Manufacturer of the motherboard (not the chips) i.e. Intel, Assus etc. and the model # which should be printed very close to the manufacturers name.
cpu does not choose the RAM , its the motherboard that you should look into. if you can give us the exact model of your dell pc, or better yet the Exact model of your motherboard, we can easily tell you if its supported... usually Pentium 3 computers use SDRAM modules
Any* useful help and manuals? (Sorry about my grammar)
