Question about Dell Dimension 8300 PC Desktop
How do I remove the power button and/or the power button I/O assembly on a Dell Dimension 8300 desktop? I can't find any schematic or instructions on Dell's site that tells how to take the the front bezel off in order to access it. The system is getting power but it won't power on and the front panel doesn't show any lights at all.
Open the side- and along the just inside the front exposed edge there are several tab that get push inward to release the front. They have a tendency to catch again when you go to the next one...you'll just have to play with it a bit. once that is open you'll see the other little plastic tab that holds the switch assembly . Don't forget to UNPLUG the power supply.
