hi there more often than not phones like your Bt4500 have a battery that's installed inside the handset, now after long charge times and the handset being plugged in the base the battery becomes lifeless and faulty and dies, once a power cut happens as the handset has no longer got power the battery can not recover ! my best advice would be to open the back of the handset and locate the battery and replace with same from mapplins or ebay and give new battery a good charge this should get your phone working again
You battery is defective, and no longer can hold a charge. A store that deals exclusively with batteries is your best bet. There is a chain called Batteries Plus, however it may not be where you live. Locate a store and buy a new one; they are not very expensive. Let me know how you make out. Definetly not BS....That is a water mark sticker inside the phone. It does need a reasonable amount of moisture exposed to it for it to change since it is generally located underneath the battery. I used to sell phones for Alltel and AT&T so that is how I know. That is also something that would not be covered under a company warranty since the warranty only covers phone hardware and software malfunction. If you had phone insurance then this would be a good time to use it.
just let me know of the phone you use i can give you a universal code for it.......................but do also add your IMEI (your phone serial number: it is located right inside the phone when you lift the battery.
