It is the strangest thing, lost sound in terms of ringing or anything one can hear. It vibrates, it can record voice messages, but you can't hear it when you try to play it back. I can take a call and the incoming caller can hear me. I have turned it off, removed and replaced battery, cleaned the contacts and nothing. This is the second time it happened, the first time after 24 hours the sound came back, strange. Any clues?
I have the same problem with the sound - when I make or receive calls I can't hear the other person! At first it was just when the slider was open, but now its all the time. I've also tried taking out the battery, memory card, sim card and turning it off and on, but no luck. I've only had the phone about 4 months! Before you try Flashing the Firmware, try this ;
Push and hold the # Key until it shows Vibe & Ring on the Display,
It is very possible that the phone is in Silent mode.
Let me know if you have any further questions.. :-)
Some phones will not let you set voice notes as a ringtone. If you get Motorola Phone tools, (available through motorolas website for download about $30.00) it has a ringtone creater that you could use to create a ringtone from a recording.
It also is syncronization software that will allow you to transfer files and back up your contacts.
you need a special software to make the phione ring louder....but it is best to take the phone to a professional mobile shop ad have the techs there raise the volume for you on the phone.
dear smoothy, there is an option in your voice settings which says 'keypad volume'. You have to set it to minimum or zero. After that you will not hear your keypad beeps, and it will not effect your caller tone because it is altogether different option and has nothing mutual.
