Question about XFX NVIDIA GeForce 8500 Graphic Card

No signal in my video card after an electric charge

I had a bad experience with my xfx geforce 8500 video card.
the video cable was broken and trying to fix it by soldering it I did not notice that the cable was plugged to the card and the solder sent an electric charge to it. Now the card does not send any signal to the display and the system is loaded though.

If the pc works the same when you boot in Safe Mode then the video card has failed - buy a new one.
If the pc works in Safe Mode then the video driver is corrupted - uninstall it then reboot normally then go here and download the latest available driver.

My graphics card is xfx 8600 gts my card problem is when i start my pc the display logo of my m/b is crash color and red boxes on the screen then my pc restart when system reach windows. so please help me


well my experiance with that card having a similar issue. i tried switch cables resetting the monitor to factory settings reinstalled drivers removed the card reinserted it. called xfx and it ended up being bad they rma it and got my new one and it worked fine then. hope this helps

XFX 8500 GT driver for Windows Server 2003 32 bit


Try...

www.Nvidia.com then drivers and downloads

If there isnt a driver for server 2k3 try it for Vista first if not try an XP driver... make sure there 32-Bit drivers...
