Question about VeriFone Omni 3700

2 Answers

I have a used Omni 3750 with a very dark display screen. Have tried adjusting the contrast, but still hard to read. It can be read when it is tilted slightly to view it at an angle. Is there an easy way to fix this, or can a new display be acquired?

The problem is there are some components in the display circuitry going bad. The only resolution is to have it repaired. Don't send it to Verifone as the repair cost is too high. There are other reputable repair companies out there that can fix it and warranty it for a year for about one third the cost.

You can have it repaired by Verifone. I believe the charge is around $150.

Right click the display go to properties and on the advance tab try reducing or advancing the refresh rate to see if there is a difference. If negative restore the rate to the original setting. Good Luck. Ed Pinero

How bellsouth caller id ci 43 contrast adjustments?

If the display is too light or too dark, you should adjust the contrast of the display.
Press either review button until NO CALL or the number of calls displays. Press and hold the READ button approximately 5 seconds until the display reads CONTRAST followed by a number. Release the READ button and use the review up and review down buttons to change the contrast number. When you are finished, press READ again.

Screen dark when i turn it on

try adjusting the contrast of ur screen. There is an Fn button in blue and contrast key in blue also. Press the Fn key and the contrast key together till u get the the darkness u want.

If this does not work, u need to get a technical guy to check the connection of ur display or u might need to replace ur display.

Gestetner DSm618d accidentally adjusted display too dark, now can't read it, so I can't control the machine, nor can I readjust ''contrast'' Vince

No matter how dark the contrast, if the room is dark you will be able to read it well enough to get to the settings -that is unless the display is burned out altogether

Omni 3750 with paper dust under display window

Unfortunately, no. Unless you're willing to risk breaking the display lense on the Omni terminals you can try and pry-off the display lense very carefully starting at the leftside edge of the display lense and slowly lift off the lense. By doing this, you'll need to let the double-sided sticky tape used to apply the lense lift off the case/housing. In most cases it would be wise to send in the terminals for general cleaning/maintenance. I can do these for you cheaply.

Turned up display, but not dark enough to see display

No. You can adjust the contrast by pressing and releasing the 2ND key, then pressing and holding the Up key to increase the contrast. Obviously, you can decrease the contrast by using the Down key instead.

Display screen to dark

Hello
First thing you need to do is,inside where you can see the screen, search for the brightness and contrast options in your cameras menu. Once you know where they are go outside and try to tweak it until it works. Usually you would want a higher brightness, then just adjust the contrast until your satisfied.

Hope this helps

As an FYI....The arrow keys control many things,
If not in use, they control the contrast.
If ringing, it adjusts ringing.
when using handset or speaker, it adjusts volume.
