You can only restore the BIOS settings by selecting F2 on reboot. You need the password to restore operating system settings. Geek squad can break password.

My coputer is very slow it plays all videos choppy even dvds

This computer is about 7-10 years old. That's about all your gonna get.
If videos played better when you first got it then you probably need to tune-up your OS (Operating System Software, i.e. Windows XP). You may need to re-install the OS.

My laptop will not charge up, it only works when plugged in. Official message it give me is: 0% available, plugged in not charging.

If the system is in warranty, contact Dell and get a replacement Battery. If system is over a year old you most likely need to buy a new battery. If replacing the battery doesn't resolve, then it will most likely require a motherboard replacement.

How do I reinstall the operating system on a dell inspiron 6000?

Using Dell PC Restore by Symantec
NOTE: Dell PC Restore is available only on computers purchased in certain regions.
Use Dell PC Restore by Symantec only as the last method to restore your operating system. PC Restore
restores your hard drive to the operating state it was in when you purchased the computer. Any programs or
files added since you received your computer—including data files—are permanently deleted from the hard
drive. Data files include documents, spreadsheets, e-mail messages, digital photos, music files, and so on.
If possible, back up all data before using PC Restore.
NOTICE: Using PC Restore permanently deletes all data on the hard drive and removes any applications or drivers
installed after you received your computer. If possible, back up the data before using PC Restore.
To use PC Restore:
1 Turn on the computer.
During the boot process, a blue bar with www.dell.com appears at the top of the screen.
2 Immediately upon seeing the blue bar, press <Ctrl><F11>.
If you do not press <Ctrl><F11> in time, let the computer finish restarting, and then restart the
computer again.
NOTICE: If you do not want to proceed with PC Restore, click Reboot in the following step.
3 On the next screen that appears, click Restore.
4 On the next screen, click Confirm.
The restore process takes approximately 6–10 minutes to complete.
5 When prompted, click Finish to reboot the computer.
NOTE: Do not manually shut down the computer. Click Finish and let the computer completely reboot.

BIOS!!!

No boot device available means that there is no Operating System available. F12 is the key that will get you into the Dell BIOS, not F2. Once there change your Boot Order to your HDD first. Good luck!!

Getting a copy of the operating System cd for Dell Inspiron 6000

Dell not being provided with system operating disk aka Windows nor drivers disk needed for their systems. This always poses a problem when these people are advised to do a repair install or other system repair, only to discover that they have no disks. The normal solution recommended is to contact Dell support and ask for the disks. Dell has a support site where you can order disks for your system as well as other important links to updated drivers. On the site Dell states:
Dell Customers can now request a set of backup discs containing the factory-installed operating system as well as the device drivers and utilities specific to your system.
Requests are limited to one (1) set of backup discs per system purchased.
The backup discs requested must match the operating system that was factory installed on the original order.
Please note that Dell will provide you the most up to date Resource disc available, containing the latest drivers and diagnostic tools currently being shipped on new systems. Due to the frequent updates, this Resource disc may not have all the drivers needed for your specific system, especially if it is over one (1) year old.
Complete details here.

Good Luck / Please dont for get to Vote.Thank you.
