Question about HP PSC 1610 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I printed something out, it worked fine, picked the paper up off the tray and noticed that an error message was flashing on the LCD. I turned off the printer for a few minutes and the powered it back on. The message re-appeared so I turned off the printer again, and then unplugged it from the power source. I waited about five minutes and then plugged the printer back in and turned the power back on, now the LCD will light up and say "Initializing" and then a bar begins to move across the LCD just as it used to but at the same point every time, it stops and the printer powers down on its own. If I press the power button again, nothing happens. But if I unplug it again and then replug it in and turn in back on the LCD will light up again...I don't know what to do...it sounds like the printer is getting power, but it will not print nor does the computer recognize it as attached. This printer is 13 months old (so just out of warranty) and I have no idea what to do...PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!!!
If you can, take out the ink cart. all of them. Unplug the printer; plug back in and then turn it on. See if it asks for the cart's. Let me know from there what happens.
