Hi there.
You have to manually delete the leftover files that the uninstall didn't delete, just brows the PC for the associated files (from program files etc) and pop them in the recycle bin.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

Good morning,

IObit Uninstaller 3, the free version released by IObit, is a light and FREE uninstall tool that helps you to remove unwanted programs and left over parts of a program completely, without any hassle. It does this by detecting and categorising all of the installed programs, allowing you to review the installed programs as well as select multiple files to remove via a bulk uninstallation feature.
Further to this and according to the IObit website (http://www.iobit.com/advanceduninstaller.html), IObit Uninstaller 3 has a voting system helps you identify malicious apps & plug-ins. Futhermore, the software comes with a virus and malware scanner and a file shredder
All in all, IObit Uninstaller 3 is an easy-to-use and powerful uninstall tool!

I Hope that helps,
Cheers,

I have a bogus security software on my PC that says I have threats and the only way to remove them is to pay them $79.00. The software will not let me uninstall it and it won't let me use most of my...

It will be pretty hard to get rid of it.
1. Get Microsoft Security Essentials, it's free, install it and scan your computer to clean it from all the threats.
2. If it will not let you install anything, which most of these programs are doing, try to go into safe mode by pressing F8 and uninstall it or remove the file from Program Files so it wouldn't start again.

I can't remove Gameztar. Even in the Add/Remove control panel.

Not always, but usually if you re-install a program that won't uninstall, then you can uninstall it. I know it sounds odd, but the reason is if your uninstall files are missing or corrupt you cannot uninstall.

Download the program "Revo Uninstaller" from www.download.com it is a free program that searches out every little nit of a programs existance and snuffs it out. One of the best programs I've seen for uninstalling retail garbage. When you install it and run it. It will give you a listing of all programs currently on the machine, highlight the one you want to get rid of and click on uninstall. Choose option (4), this will search the registry and get rid of everything. The original programs uninstaller will run first, let it do its thing even if it fails, hit ok and Revo will take over from there. Do not let the original program reboot, click no and continue with the Revo program. Click yes to get rid of everything each time you are asked. When it is finished it will tell you.

I cant uninstall programs from the control panel... i keep getting message ghost uninstaller says installation log file can not be found

This means that a program that you may have uninstalled earlier might have removed this needed file. You can reinstall windows..if this is your platform and select the repair instead of full install inorder to place this file back in your system. Please give more information if this does not work for you. Good Luck..

My.freeze.com

freeze is full of adware and other bugs and trackers too. Many FREE products on the internet are. My search, free emoticons (u no the 1) and many gadgets are this way.
Aside from backing up your personal files and doing a recovery, it is very hard to remove them completely for your computer.
(XP)Disconnect from the internet(unplug line)then you can use add/remove in control panel. Then go into file system...open a folder and then hit show folders in the command bar above the main viewing area. The files will show to the left. Click plus sign next to My Computer, then next to local disk. Then programs. Look for and delete the folders that are obviously from freeze. If it won't let you then open those folders and delete the items inside, one at a time.
Now, go run a search for freeze and tell it to look in hidden and system folders. Delete the stuff you find, being carefull not to delete some part of another program.
Now, go back to filing system, to below program folder and click plus sign next to Windows. Scroll down to Prefetch folder and open it. Click edit, select all and delete those files. Restart

Open Administrative tools, Computer management applet; under storage, disk management. You will probably need to partition and reformat. If this drive is used only on XP machines, then format NTFS, otherwise FAT32.
