-   I found that you might still need this hotfix from microsoft inorder to get the sound working. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111
I 2 also can not get the wired lan working, it says I have a connection but won't connect to my network or my internet
Other then that the files from sony work just fine.

I reviewed a lot of comments on forums because I am going to downgrade to xp from vista with my vgn-n365e notebook. I am following guidelines from a detailed explanation on dongrade instructions. The one thing I can't find is the Serial ata driver that I need; worried about this because without hard disk driver im afraid I might clean out the disk and be left with nothing. Anyone know how crucial this is or whether I need it before downgrade? I already have all the manufacturer specified drivers from sony's website.
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-C140G, went from win xp mce to win xp pro sp2, no matter what I've tried (I have actually found various drivers for my sound card that say they will work for me, even installed the windows hotfix I discovered I had to do first) my sound still won't work. I'm sure there are other things that won't work, but so far this is the only thing I know about.

I purchased a sony VGN-N365E with the usual windows vista. I removed the OS and replaced it with Win XP SP2 but cant find the necessary drivers: audio, video, network, etc.). All the sites I have visited contains only vista drivers.
Need urgent help!

One day I turned it on, loaded the software. Error message...
Never worked again. Tried it on several computers so it wasnt my system or driver issues.
Il'l explain more in the next catagory...
one day in mid-session the USB connection mysteriously disappeared which led to weeks of trouble shooting and drivers that refused to reinstall. One can theorize that that was the fault of my computer/system especially since I'm on a PC, but the fact is that The Lexicon Omega or it's drivers was the only thing that failed; Cubase, Wavelab and all the other audio and non-audio software performed fine during this period. This is a good product. However, the failure I experience may return. Since I was left to my own trial and error methods of solving my problem I have no idea how to prevent it from happening again, even if I now know how to recover.
