Question about Computers & Internet
Exchanged old 4:3 HP flat screen for new LG W2242S 22'' widescreen monitor. Old monitor seemed to be running on a generic driver. At first LG worked but with 4:3 stretched horizontally - Settings>properties showed no appropriate resolution (other than 4:3). Following the LG instructions went to ControlPanel>Display>Settings>Advanced>Monitor BUT the Properties button was greyed out, so was unable to update driver.
Monitor did not appear in 'Hardware Manager'. called LG support and got a new guy who had to ask someone else for every question. His solution was ''nothing you can do''.
Tried rebooting computer in hope it would pick up a suitable driver but after the WindowsXP screen with fashing bars the screen went blank. Have tried entering Setup at boot but can find nothing to deal with monitor or VGA or anything - Can anyone help me please?
i own a w2242s pf Lg lcd/monitor
normally i switch off the computer but when it is time to switch on the pc, the screen does'nt wanna switch on, it takes a moment or day of unplugging of the cable and the power cord then it might come on again..
