Question about Avid Juicy Ultimate Hydraulic Disc Brake , 160mm, Front

Open Question

The rear wiper on my 1999 Subaru Outback Legacy wagon will not work correctly. When i hit the button it makes a really loud motor sound, but no movement. We took off the back panel, and noticed that it would move back to the original position if moved to the far side, but would not go the primary direction. To sum up the wiper motor appears to only go one direction, not both, like it needs to. What do I do?

Is there an access pannel under the rear seat of 1999 subaru legacy outback to access the top side fuel tank?

Yes, under the rear seat bottom on a sedan or behind the rear seat back on the panel under the carpet on the cargo area, right behind the seat back, screws hold the panel on, fuel pump right below it, easy to replace...I just did mine,1998 Legacy Wagon.

99 Subaru legacy wagon 2.5 DOHC. Started making sound like the bearing in a pully went out, pulled over to check it out and car shut down. Now it will turn over but it will not start.

i do not know about subaru 1999 but i can guess that your timing belt is broken and if you push it hard the valves could even bent and increase the fixing cost. i suggest you seek help from a car mechanic
your mileage must have exceeded 100000km check the record if you had ever changed the timing belt.
i pray that it is something else with least expensive.

2001 Subaru outback driver side windshield wiper goes to far to the outside tears up the end of the blade - ideas please

I have the same problem with a 2001 Legacy wagon. The problem is not as simple as the solutions above. Mine are adjusted to park as low as possible when off. Even so, the blade on the drivers side goes all the way off the windshield. The Subaru dealer wants to replace the whole wiper blade transmission for about $450. Looking online it seems to be interconnecting arms and pivot points that connect the motor to the wiper blade arms.

MPH hour gauge not working. 99 subaru legacy outback

the speedometer/odometer problem sounds like the vehicle speed sensor, which is ususally found on your front wheels, the stalling out sounds like an unrelated problem, but i couldnt tell you where to start for that one

For a 1999 Subaru Legacy does it have just the screw on transmission filter or is there also one in the pan?

I have a 99 Subaru Legacy Outback wagon also. I just changed my fluid & filters. There is a spin-on AND a bolt-in that's inside (you have to drop the pan).

two things you must address, first the tires may need rotating, 4WD cars need all tires to be close to the same size or conflicts in gearing occur, second change the oil in the rear axle this can cause noisy operation.

Subaru Outback - '03 boxer 2.5L engine sounds like a diesel

heavier oil if you are not in a cold climate. but before you do that have the oil pressure checked. We used to use a can of STP every once in a while on a motor in a dodge we had... nothing wrong with it... was just noisy.
