Make sure the crank case is not over full when not running and make sure the crank case breather is clear.

SOURCE: Kohler Courage carbeurator leaks when engine off.

You need to rebuild the carburetor. You can most likely find a rebuild kit through the manufacturer.

I HAVE A TROY BUIT SNOW BLOWER WITH A HUAYI CARB . IT WILL RUN ONLY AT HALF CHOKE .I HAVE CARB APART . CAN NOT GET FUEL METTERING JET OUT IAM SURE IT SCREWS OUT. HOW DO I GET IT OUT?

Why do you need to remove the jet

You can & should be blowing brakleen
& air thru all the holes

The fact you need the choke partially closed-- tells you something

Your creating higher air velocity,so check for a vacuum leak
(failed gasket) on intake side

May have a failed head gasket also

How can I get my snow blower to idle in a steady fashion?

Tune up and carb adjustment. There are two screws on your carb which control the low end(idle) and the high end (throwing power) Play with those with very small turns to adjust.

Troy built 8 hp tiller how to adjust the reverse lever

There is a Turn Buckle on the Cable and adjusted that way. But you may have an Issue Internally. If the Rod that holds the Wheel has become lose, you may have to remove the rear cover and tighten everything back up

I have a troy-bilt squall 2100 snowblower that wont start. Primer bulb doesnt seem to do anything. Use of starting fliud in the air intake will get it to start briefly. Removed carb bowl and there seems...

I share your frustration. We just had our first snow fall of the season and my Troy Bilt Squall 2100 would not start or do anything. The snow blower is well maintained and does not have 2 hours use. I use 0-30 synthetic oil and installed fresh gasoline. It is simply maddening to have plunked down close to $500.00 and have a useless snow blower. Trying to get through to Troy Bilt's help line is next to impossible.
