Fogging up occurs when the water vapour ( Humidity) in the cab air hits the cold windows Remove the humidity by running the ac in conjunction with the heater . AC units to make the air feel cold by removing the humidity in the cab air allowing you to perspire more easily and you feel cooler. The mildew smell you refer to could be anti-freeze. When a heater core starts leaking it may allow anti-freeze (which circulates through it for heat) to be blown through the ducts onto the windshield in defrost mode. The repair is to have the heater core replaced. It may wait for the thermostat to open and allow the coolant to circulate before you notice it. Occasionally the carpet on the passenger side may be wet from leakage.

In my experience i would say its the pump. But if you look in your owners manual there will be a fuse diagram. From there you can check the fuse. Also if you know where the fuse boxes are located you can look on the backside of the lid that closes the fuse box there is a diagram. That will help you locate the fuse. If you need further assistance please let me know. Thanks, Midwest-tek
