I have a Dell Latitude D630. When the laptop is switched on it emits a high pitched scream and will not boot. I disabled microphone in BIOS and machine boots fine. Re-enabled microphone and same probl

It sounds like a driver problem, normally the microphone is off on-boot-up. It should only be opened by a program wanting to use it.

Have you tried turning it off in the operating system, rather than the BIOS?

Download the correct drive here.

I had lost my Dell Latitude D600 Bios passowrd. So I removed the comos battery (behind main battery) and reinstalled it. But now my laptop is giving this message on bootup "invalid system...

  1. Set the BIOS to defaults:

  2. Restart your Dell laptop. Click on "Start," "Turn off Computer" and "Restart."

  3. Press "F2" during the boot process to enter the BIOS. Press "F2" before the Windows loading screen. Certain models may use a different key. The key will be displayed during the boot process. For most Dell models, the key is "F2."
  4. Use the "Alt" + "F" key combination to load defaults.
  5. Press "Esc" on your Dell laptop keyboard to save and exit.
  6. Choose the "Enter" key to save all changes and exit the BIOS screen. Allow your laptop to restart for BIOS settings to reset.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

try going into the BIOS of your system upon powering your laptop as soon as you see your Dell Logo keep on tapping f1 till you get a different screen or if the system beeps when you tap on f1 then stop it should boot into your system BIOS and give you options,

normally for dell it should have a phoenix BIOS try setting your bios to defaults then save and exit the bios if still it does not fix you issue then you can try reinstalling windows and its drivers .

From the Bios, load all the default settings and then check the bios SATA port settings. If it is set to AHCI, change it to IDE to boot from Hard Drive. This should solve the problem

Dell Latitude D800- Keyboard and mouse stop working when undocked.

First update any drivers for your dell.

www.support.dell.com

Is the dock a dell dock, or a universal Dock?

the drivers may need updating.

Some times when you plug a dock in, and turn it on, they will load them into the drivers and when you unplug it, it gets confused and when you boot it up it has to re-install the original drivers and does this while its booting.

This happens alot with the GX620 desktops. If you pull a USB keyboard out while its off and plug it back into a different USB port and tun it on. It wont work right away.

We end up having to let it sit at the login screen for a while till it reloads the drivers to the new USB port.

You will know if yours is doing this as the Hard drive light will be flickering and running.

Try booting it up and letting it load windows and waiting a few minutes.

Did you try to boot into the BIOS and load the default settings?
Pls check if the hard drive is recognized in the BIOS first.

Dell latitude c610 primary or administraitor password unlock

I believe I can help you. Is this a Windows password after it boots up, or is this a bios power on password before it boots? The bios password on a Dell is generally on a white screen when it's first powered. Get back to me, and I'll get you thought this.
