Question about NEC PXT-42SX1B 42 in. Plasma TV
42" Nec plasma will not turn on, no stand by light, nothing. We moved it the 2 days ago and treated it with care, no sudden movements, no tilting just moved it a couple of feet over. Plugged it back in and the TV is dead, have had it unplugged for 2 days and still no power what so ever.
Any suggestions what to do or what it could be? Will it cost much to fix?
It sounds like ze power supply blew when it was being turned off. This seems to be typical of plasmas. Bad power supplys wont let the tv come on and will result in no lights coming on. Since there R no lights coming on, I would suspect the power supply first, followed by the power control board,. and circuit board. It may cost anywhere from $250 to $500 to fix.

I have the same problem,
first poser supply lasted just over three years at 92-- foot elevation, the next one lasted 3 months, just long enough to get past parts warranty, and NEC/local tech wants $800 to replace the power supply that took 3 months to get in before.
Nope, just bought a new HD Vizio and moved on. Better picture and BIGGER picture.
