The stand by Temp light does not flash just 3 or 4 times, soon after I first turn the set on a click is heard and it flashes along with the Lamp once, a short time later it flahes once more along with the Lamp, then a short time later it keeps flahing along with the lamp and timer lights many times, I stopped at 60.

The clicking indicates either a power supply or color wheel problem. Since it is not turning on the power board needs to be replaced and not the color wheel.

Hi there,

The self-diagnostic function of the projection TV will cause the STANDBY light to blink or flash when the television detects an issue. The number of times the STANDBY light flashes corresponds to a specific issue.

  • If the STANDBY light flashes three times in sequence, the lamp cover is not securely attached. Reattach the lamp cover to resolve this issue.
  • If the STANDBY light flashes four times in sequence, the TV may be overheating. To resolve this issue, ensure that the back of the TV is well ventilated.
Let me know for further clarifications.

Follow the steps below to perform a power reset:

    1. Turn off the television.
      IMPORTANT:
For a projection TV that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after
turning off the TV to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the
      following steps.

    2. Unplug the TV power cord from the electrical outlet.

    3. Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds.

    4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
      NOTE:
If the TV is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it
from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the
wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power
strip or surge protector and not the TV.

    5. Turn on the television.
      NOTE:
If the TV does not turn on immediately, the fan may need to finish its
cycle. This is part of the cooling process for some projection TVs and
is normal operation. After the fan turns off, attempt to turn the TV on
      again.

If the issue is still unresolved after following all of the troubleshooting steps, service is required.

there could be a wrong connections inside. a possible breakdown or a faulty part resulted this problem. you may need double check the connections made. better to replace the part and put it back again.

check double-side board (the one lying flat/horizontal just to the right of
the vertical power supply board which has the fuses) has a burnt
transistor (the one with the sizable heat sink on it, at the back left
corner when looking at the board from the rear of the TV). It is
    blowing the (non-power supply) fuse.

you can see it on the power board area. initially I instructed you to check also this for any possible problems on this area. sometimes failure on the power board resulted this kind of problem/

Hello, I try to help. But your questions not spesific.
Below are conditions lamp indicators that appear blinking and solutions (for samsung) :

1. If Timer and Lamp blinking --> Auto timer on/off was been set, picture will appear ~ 25 second.
2. If Timer and Standby/Temp blinking --> A cooling fan inside the set is not operating properly.
3. If Lamp and Standby/Temp blinking --> The lamp cover on the rear of the set is not installed properly.

I hope that solve your problem.
Thanks

No picture and no sound

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
