Question about Apple iPod nano 3rd Generation

My switches on my IPOD Nano will not work.

I can feel and hear the click of the switches when I press them but they will not change what is on the screen. I can use the shake feature to change songs on my playlist but I can not get any function from the menu buttons.

I sounds like your click wheel is either bad or maybe the cable needs to be reset.
those ipods are very hard to open and i would be extra careful doing any repairs yourself.
but if you have the skills, open the ipod and unclip the clickwheel ribbon and straighten it out on the very end IE: flatten the very end.
re-insert it into it's clip and turn the clip latch down tightening it up.
then try your ipod again.
If this doesn't work replace the clickwheel.

Ipod 2gb is on but completely frozen!


you can try to toggle the hold switch to on (red) then off then press and hold the middle button and the manuel button at the same time untill the apple logo reappears

Change language to english


You have to reset your iPod. (Note: This is for the 3rd generation iPod Nano)

To reset iPod nano:
1 Toggle the Hold switch on and off (slide it to HOLD and then back again).
2 Press and hold the Menu and Center buttons for at least 6 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.


If iPod nano won’t turn on or respond

- Make sure the Hold switch isn’t set to HOLD.
- The iPod nano battery might need to be recharged. Connect iPod nano to your computer or to an Apple USB Power Adapter and let the battery recharge. Look for the lightning bolt icon on the iPod nano screen to verify that iPod nano is receiving a charge.

I connect Ipod to computer it will not sync


Try resetting the iPod, this usually works.
