When i start up my dell laptop it says disk erro so i preesed diagnose and it said error code 2000-0146 how can i fix this?

Two possible causes
  • Hard drive itself is bad (If this is the case you will need to replace the hard drive and reinstall the OS and any software)
  • You have a nasty bootsector virus (Format the drive and reinstall the operating system and any software)
Try to format and reinstall the operating system and if it works great if not then you know the hard drive needs to be replaced.

My Dell inspiron mini 10 is displaying "operating system not found" how can i restore it back to normal working condition.

The problem can be with the Hard drive or the Operating system

* Check in BIOS if the hard drive size is getting detected..
* Keep pressing the F2 key when the computer turns on to get into the BIOS
* Once you are in BIOS check if the actual Hard drive size is seen
* If it is not seen you need to replace the Hard drive - get in touch with Dell or local tech
* If the hard drive six is seen then you can reinstall te OS that will fix the issue
* Do the following steps for that

Dell has a default partition on the computer and you can install with the same..
If you have windows vista on the computer then tap F8 when the computer turns on and then you will be able to see the advanced boot options.. Select repair my computer.. In the repair my computer screen select the dell factory image restore...
Your computer will go through the installation and it will be up and running...
If you have windows Xp then you have to turn on the computer and when the dell logo appears you have to simultaneously press control and the F11key.. You will be able to reinstall the OS in this way..

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop and I do have to reinstall disc and when i try to reinstall it tells me that there is no hard drive found. Please help me

The hard drive on your desktop might be faulty. Before reinstalling your OS, check on your hard drive by running Set-up (by pressing F10 or DEL) right after your system checks the the memory at the start-up...access the CMOS and verify that your hard drive is listed, otherwise if not then you have to check if cables are properly connected, if they are then you have a faulty hard drive.
