Hello rebel_auto:

>>Send me the Make, Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you.
However, this File may Help.
**The Throttle Cable Attaches to the Throttle Control Bracket. The Cable Moves a Slide that Moves a Pivot. The Pivot has the Spring Attached to it and the Other End of this Spring Attaches to the Governor Arm. The Solid Link Connects to the Governor Arm and goes to the Throttle Shaft on the Carburetor. When the Throttle Cable is Moved it Moves the Pivot and the Pivot Pulls the Spring. The Spring Pulls the Governor Arm and the Governor Arm Moves the Throttle Shaft. Usually the Spring is in the Lower Hole in the Governor Arm and the Solid Link is in the Top Hole of the Governor Arm.**

Gas lawnmower doesn't start after so many cranking. i checked the spark plug and replaced it, I also check for fuel , all looks fine. This lawnmower is only 1 yr old.=

Make sure that the gasoline if new. You can spray a small amount of starting fluid into the carb to help start the motor. Make sure that you turn the switch to the run position.

Did all tune-up runs a little too good. How do i turn the rpm's down over revving unless I'm in real thick grass

Hi Michael:
This question is in the cars and trucks section, but it sounds like you're dealing with a lawnmower.

If it is a lawnmower, it's probable that the governor spring is not hooked up to the right place, so the engine thinks it needs more power. Check the linkage from the governor to the carb.

Briggs Stratton Murray ridding lawnmower won'stay running

Check the throttle linkage at the engine/carb is OK. Next thing is likely to be a bit of dirt in the carb. If you know what to do, strip it and blow out with an airline. Make sure the mixture and throttle screws are reset and tune the engine for smooth running when started. If you get the model and serial no off the engine there's loads of info online on these engines.

Need gas tank for a turfmaster riding lawnmower. 11.5, 30" cut. Model # 309001x08a Serial# t 109029152. Live in st cloud fla

I don't have a gas tank for you but am in need of a little assistance myself. I brought my mower to a service dealer who screwed me. He took the carburetor off, told me the lawnmower was junk and left me with it. I bought a new carb from B&S (Nikki) but don't know how the linkages hook up. B&S service is useless. Are you willing to look at yours and walk me through the three linkages? Jim 508.432.6482

I took my toro 6.5 lawnmower carb apart and cleaned, now fuel spurts out of red tube into the air cleaner. Why is this happening?

Sounds like you assembled something wrong when reinstalling the carb. Or your missing a step or two.

Hi I have a yard machine 123cc ohv lawnmower.. model# 11a-08ma29. I'm finding it hard to remoce the carburetor due to its connection to a metal peice leading to the choke and another going up to the...

After you have unbolted the carburetor, you will need to take a picture of the linkage before disconnecting so as to get the hook up right, you are going to have to work the linkage loose. The end of the linkage is made of two 90 degree bends, rotate the bottom up towards you and it should come off.

I hope this helps you out.

The lawnmower is revving really high, I'm thinking

Sounds like you are going to have to take a look at the linkages. To do this you will need to remove the air filter and then the air filter housing. Probably have to remove the shroud (cover on top of engine). Now you should have a good look at the throttle linkages. Try to moved them to see if they are stuck. You will be pushing against spring pressure so expect some resistance. Just checking to see if there is freedom of operation to tell you if stuck throttle linkage. If stuck you will have to determine if in carb. or not and then repair.

If this is really helpful, please rate.

Leaks fuel somewhere around carb area, can't see good enough to fix . I would like to take carb off if i knew how. thank you ...

Sounds like you have an open where the fuel line exits the tank. Remove the screws that hold the cover and remove it. Remove the air cleaner and wash it with soap and water and let it dry, You should be able to see the 2 nuts that will let you remove the carb. Release the throttle linkage, fuel lin,and return line, this should let you see the hoses easier. Make a wire hook and hook the the fuel line, OH drain the fuel from the tank befor doing any thing!!! Now as you pull the line from the tank, help it by pushing down as you pull it from the tank. Clean or replace the filter. Start the hose needing replaced from the top down into the tank, after about 6 in try to hook the line toput the filter on,push as much hose as needed to hook it. Next reinstall.the carb in the reverse. Good Luck.
