My ps3 head set has said paired but not working , why . this 2 one ive got same problem.

The headset only works for games that support headset communication.

With that in mind, after you successfully pair a Bluetooth headset with your PS3, you need to verify that it's currently being used by the system.

- - - - - - - - - Skip this section if you've paired the headset already - - - - - - - -

To verify that the headset is paired, go to:

XMB (main menu) > Settings (second icon from the left) > Manage Bluetooth Devices (5th icon down) > [name of your Bluetooth headset] under Device Name with a blue dot next to it

-If you don't see your headset under there, select "Register New Device" on the bottom of the screen and follow the prompt

-If you see the device name, but the dot to the left of the device name is black and not blue, turn on your headset and on your PS3, highlight the headset device name and press the Triangle button and select "Connect"

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Finally, to verify that your headset is being used by the system, go to:

XMB > Settings > Audio Device Settings (7th icon down)

From here, make sure that the Input Device shows the name of your headset's device name- if not, highlight Input Device and press Up and Down on your controller to select the headset.

Next, you will do the same thing for Output Device- select your headset device name if it is not shown.

Once your device name shows in both Input and Output Device areas, you can talk into the headset and you should be able to hear yourself. Adjust the microphone volume by changing the number next to "Microphone Level". The bars on the top of the screen in Audio Device Settings should move and respond to speaking into the microphone.

Finish by selecting OK on the bottom of the screen to save your settings. Don't hit the Circle button or else the changes may not save!

How do you activate bluetooth on ps3

Hi
Step 1: Update your PS3. If you do not have the latest system update, you may not be able to sync your devices correctly. To update your PS3, go to the "System Settings" menu and select the "System Update" icon. After you have finished updating, restart your PS3.

Step 2:Put your Bluetooth device in discovery mode. Generally, you activate this by holding the Bluetooth activation button--but because headsets vary, you may need to consult your manual for precise instructions.

Step 3:Go to the "Settings" tab on the PS3's cross-media bar and select the "Accessory Settings" menu. From the new menu, select "Scan for Bluetooth Device." The PlayStation 3 should detect it automatically.

Step 4:Return to the "Settings" menu and select "Audio Settings." Go to "Input/Output Settings" and select your headset as the device. Your Bluetooth headset should now be completely synced with your PS3 and ready for online chatting.

Weird

I believe only voices from other players come through on the headset. Other game sounds (cutscenes, gun shots, explosions, etc.) come through the TV. Try checking the Chat or Accessory settings on your PS3 to see if there's an option to change where the sound comes from. It'll be in the PS3 dashboard (press the PS3 button on your controller). I hope this helps and don't forget to rate. Good luck and thank you!

Registering and pairing with the ps3

Go to PS3. Accessories Setting -> Manage Bluetooth Devices -> Register New Device**

** = You need to have Jabra BT125 in Pairing Mode. Hold the button for more than 10 seconds till it's a solid blue (initially turned off). Then detect it with your PS3.

If it asks for a password it's "0000"

Linking a BT125 Bluetooth to my PS3

I had the same problem trying to connect my old Jabra BT125 headset to my brothers PS3, here's what worked for me:

-Turn on the headset by holding down the button but keeping it down until a solid light comes on.

This puts the headset into discovery mode, you can the start scanning for the device and it should find it.

Connecting bluetooth headset to ps3

You have to do 2 things in order to use a bluetooth headset on your ps3. First you have to pair it with the ps3. To do this you go to your setting and register the bluetooth device. Make sure your bluetooth device is in pairing mode when you do this. On most headsets you can simply hold down the button until the light comes on a solid color. once it is in pairing mode you will have to scan for new devices. Once this is done you should see the headset on the list. Choose it and enter your pairing code. If you have not set one it will most likely be 0000. Once it is it paired you will have to change your audio output and input. Go to audio device settings and change the input and output device to your headset name. Enjoy!
