SOURCE: I need to replace my hard disk notebook with a bigger capacity hdd

I have read that Hitachi 7200 80Gb harddisk will fit and work in the Toshiba Satellite Pro A10. I am just about to ugrade from a 20Gb drive in my A10. I dont have the model number of the Hitachu drive. What model drive to you now have working in your A10 and what capacity is it?

There is no maximum, just make sure the hard drive is a ATA-133 as far as the speed is concerned. You can have up to two hard drives connected to the motherboard.

The BIOS has a max. hard drive size limitation. Check the manual for the maximum size the motherboard can support.
If the maximum size hard disk it can support then you can add a second hard drive in the computer as a SLAVE hard drive to double your disk space capacity.

Your pc can accept any 3.25" hard drive and can take up to a 500GB capacity. Also, the specs would be IDE 3.25" (3 1/2) ATA Hard drive. Brand name is totally up to you.

There is no maximum size hard drive for the DV series laptop, especially if you are running Vista or Windows 7. If you are running XP, make sure that the operating system has service pack 3 in it and you can run any capacity drive you wish.
