Question about Sony Mavica MVC-FD75 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Subsequent to dropping the camera, we have "drive error" displayed

The camera reads "drive error", and displays a flashing "c:32:01"

Obviously, we cannot use the camera at the moment. I can see no cracking to the boards inside, nothing is clearly loose. I have tried pulling the small memory battery hoping to reboot, all to no avail. HELP!

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

Our camera was dropped this morning--now it reads Lens Error

oh no! you need to get the camera checked. there might be a lens that got dislocated inside the camera. Nikon is pretty fragile. Get it fixed asap or moist will damage the lens and it won't work anymore.

My coolpix displays lens error when it is turned on. The lens opens and closes twice before the display reads lens error.

his generally happens if you have dropped it. when the message comes. try tapping the camera. if it works then you are lucky. if not then you have to change the lens array. it costs about 60$

Dropped the camera, now no view shows in window

Two possible problems have happened. What does the display show when the camera trys to power on? If it says error on the top of the display error 31 you have a stuck lens barrell. If it shows nothing you may have broken the display. Let me know what happens I will answer back.

Error C:13:10, displays ''access'', ''turn the power off and on agai

Lens jams can happen without dropping the camera. The lens motor is bad, or a grain of sand has got stuck in one of the lens cogs. Either way will need lens repair/replacement.

White Screen

  1. Upon startup lens emerges but when screen appears it is white whereas it normally displays whatever the lens sees. When the shutter button is pressed the camera will focus and take a white picture which can be deleted. The camera does not flash although flash is set to automatic and photo taken in a dark room. Camera flashes (weakly) with flash set to manual on. Lens is unobstructed and appears to be perfectly normal. Camera was not dropped. Batteries have been changed.
