LG Rear projection TV not turning on

Hi

I have a LG TV model RT-56NZ23RB 142cm,

The problem is that the TV will not turn on.

The standby light will change from dark red to light red and the TV will make a noice like it is trying to turn on, but then the standby light will come back on and the TV wont start.

 

I have tried turning the Tv off at the switch and unpluging the Tv from mains power but this hasn't helped

 

I have had the TV about 3 years and up until now have had no problems with it.

 

Any idears to what the problem maybe.

Hi, just wanted to add that i have managed to get the TV to turn on but dont have any picture.

 

There is sound and I can get the menu to work with all the functions, just cant get a picture or Tele Text.

 

It's like there is no signal getting to the globes.

- Thanks for nothing, I posted my problem 3 weeks ago and still havnet got a responce. To all those out there who are looking for some advise, look else where... I have had no replies at all to the question I posted.

This web site is a dud..... :(
