You can either go herehttp://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen and enter your computer's service tag and it'll give you all the drivers for the devices you had when you bought the comp or you can go here http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INS_PNT_E1405&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
and select the drivers for the hardware you have (Note: This is the driver page for your comp model so all you have to do is select the drivers). If you find this to solve ur pblm please rate me. :)

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

How will i remove the virus manually?

i hope you got norton off your system before putting AVG free on. Virus programs try to fight off other virus programs by postiong false virus claims to erase the other program. eventually they will kill your hard drive. You need a product key for a good virus protectant. Norton or CA offer good, reliable protection for your dollar. What i would do, is back up any really important stuff you have there, format your hard drive and install Vista again if you have the disc and then re-install it to permanetly delete viruses. Also your system maybe slow because VIsta needs at least a dual core processor and 2 GB RAM to work like a XP machine

Not able to load sound driver for dell Inspiron E1405 laptop after formating the system.

Are you currently hooked up to the internet?

If so, you can download the driver automatically by right clicking on my computer -> properties -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager

When that loads, find the correct device (may have a yellow question mark next to it) -> right click on the device -> properties -> Driver tab -> Update driver.

The wizard should guide you through the rest and find the correct driver.

Wireless internet problem

Hi

I think your Operating System (OS) software installed after formatting does not have drivers for the wireless network card.

You did not provide any clues about the OS and the Network (Model/Brand) installed.

Dell Inspiron 6000 did ship with Windows XP as the Default OS and Dell Wireless 1350, 1370, 1450,1390, 1490, and 1500 series Mini Card or Intel PRO Wireless 2200BG, 2915ABG Wireless LAN Mini Cards as options

First, check the Original System Configuration to find out the built specification of the Inspiron 6000.
Enter you system tag. Click on the Original System Configuration Tab. Check the factory built specification and note the Wireless Card installed from the factory. If you have not changed or upgraded the Wireless Card, download and install the drivers from the list below.

Dell Wireless 1350, 1370, 1450,1390, 1490, and 1500 series Mini Card Drivers
Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG / 2915ABG Wireless LAN Mini Card Drivers

I am almost sure you will need drivers for the Chipset, onboard network and video.
Intel Mobile Chipset
Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller Driver v.4.25
Video (as above check the factory spec if you ordered the ATI MobilityRadeon X300)
Intel Graphics Video (onboard) Driver v.6.14.10.4609
ATI MobilityRadeon X300 Driver v.8.162-050803a2-025823C

Let me know how you get on.

Mike
