Not very helpful info! I would try tapping f12 on booting up which takes you into the Dell Diagnostics mode. Then come back here.

Also keep in mind that these units are very sensitive to being leveled; even a minor tilt will cause them to quit cooling. These units are not equipped with compressors as are home refrigerators which are not quite as fussy as the evaporative type.

My fridge doesn't stops defrosting.

Please chut off your set for about 8 hours and connect once again , if you notice good cooling initially and later it starts to come off, then there is a possible fault from the compressor , to the thermostat to the auto timer and for low gas or gas leak. You will need help to check for the compressor start up current using a clamp tester, check for gas leaks, check for thermostatfault. keeping all this in mind, get an estimate from the nearest service shop. Decide and go forward only if the cost is reasonable. If not I suggest presuming your fridge is more than 5 years old to change over for an new model with high energy saving, extended warranty and trouble free mind. Hope my adivce helps.Good day

There is a self timer for auto defrosting in the no frost model. There could be possible fault in this setup. Also your thermostat could be another culprit. You will need to call a service technician to give an second opinion but keep these views in mind. Never try to do any work which could be expensive to already a wrong choice of buying a used set w/o warranty. Finally keep your thermostat in diffferent modes and check out for any differance in the fault. Hope my advice is helpful. Good Day.

If water is building up in the freezer it is not going into a defrost mode. Defrost imer or defrost term switch. You need a service tech to check it out but giving the age of the refrigerator You could buya new one for a little more than it would cost to fix. It would be about 200.00 dollars for repair. You could ask for free estimate before you make up your mind, Rus

Norcold Fridge will not work on LP gas while traveling.

One of two problems. The auto switch is bad or the lower circuit board is not doing its job. You can call norcold technical or take the board to a service center and have it checked with the tester they should have. The lower board retails for 176.00. I looked at my tech file and it is a little vague on your particular situation. If I were repairing your fridge I would take the smart route and call technical. Hope you get your problem solved. If you need more help please feel free.

If it doesn't click or the light doesn't flicker it is probably either you don't have good strong 12 volt power getting to the fridge(12 volt required only to light on gas the first time) or else the little gas igniter module went out looks like this only sometimes black.

Now if it won't stay lit. It is something wrong with either your flame or your thermocouple. First try just blowing out the the flu right where the flame comes out blow compressed air in so if there is dirt or cobweb in there it comes out the back side. If that doesn't help disconnect your thermocouple and wipe the end and then connect it back up and tighten it. If it still wont stay lit still replace the thermocouple.

Reset Norcold 'N61 Series' Fridge after lockout

Hi Lynn1965,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Yor problem is: Please help! Your brother phoned you on his cell from up north. He's supposed to go hunting tomorrow, and is having problems with his fridge. The nearest dealer is 5 hours away, and he's very upset.
The fridge went into lockout mode after accidentally resetting twice. Now, the lights flash, and fridge doesn't work.
Please advise how he can fix this problem himself. You both would greatly appreciate it!!

First, unplug the unit for 10 minutes. That should reset it. If not, ask if he can here the compressor motor. If not, then he has a compressor or electrical failure inside. If yes then look to a bad thermostat.

Feel free contact me again!
Please give me a rating here at fixya.com before you sign off
Thank you,
Harvey your Master Plumber

Master hard disk s,m,a.r.t.status bad, backup and replace

A failure message from the SMART system of this nature indicates that a catastrophic hard drive failure could be imminent. Without delay, back up ANY data you want to keep. This error isn't going to go away, and is being reported by the drive controller.

Whilever you can access the drive, move any data you want onto another media (such as DVD or external USB hard drive) because chances are it's not going to work much longer. You need to look at buying a new hard drive as soon as you possibly can, and migrating the data to it.

Files and Settings Transfer Wizard will be able to backup your data to another media.
