Wanted: O-Manual or Photo, all the Labeling is gone on mine!

HELP!
I just bought a used 'Counterpoint Electronic Systems SA3.1 Dual Channel Tube Preamplifier' (site-unseen) on the back all the labeling is gone so I don't know where to connect any of my components.
I'm looking for a Owners Manual or Photo of one with labeling

Thanks for any help,
John B. from Illinois

    Let me see what it looks like - I believe the model vintage in 1982 to 1989 & I didn't get any spare tubes so I don't want to be messing with something that's sealed up pretty good.

    I want to thank you for you speed though, weather I can get into it or not.

Take the bottom cover off.look where the connectors go.the ones that go to the input selector switch are inputs.
the pair by themselves will be the outputs.

Used to have a single channel of RAM at 400Mhz 500MB, now replaced with dual channel each 1GB but 333MHz. The PC only detects 500MB in each channel, but has gone into dual channel mode. Is there a bios...

It would seem as if you have got 2x512mb sticks and not 2x1Gb sticks. There is no setting in the BIOS that will change how your system sees your RAM sticks. RAM wasn't made at the 333Mhz speed in 1Gb sticks, it was the expensive end of the market and so was usually only available in the highest speed range for business and industry.

AMD 780G Chipset + DDR21066 Kit. Are they a match made in heaven?

You can populate half of your DIMM slots with DDR2 1066 RAM modules with this board. There is a limitation of the AMD AM2+ systems that puts a single-channel limit on the memory (hence the empty slots when using 1066).

I'm Confused about Dual-Channel, How to Activate/Enable it?

Check your user manual for the type of memory you can use. If your computer could use dual channel memory, I think it would come that way. Dual Channel is a pair of special compatable memory modules and only come in pairs. To buy two unpaired memory modules and hope to run them as Dual Channel is wishing too much. If they work, you're lucky, but most likely they will not work as dual channel.

If you are using those two different memory modules and they both work for a total of 3 GB then you can not do much better.

Looking for Owners Manual or Photo with Labeling.

I followed the recommendation that 'kirtec' left me;

Take the bottom cover off. look where the connectors go. The ones that go to the input selector switch are inputs.
The pairs by themselves will be outputs.

I was concerned about doing this as this is my 1st preamp w/ Tubes and I didn't get any spares. I'm really looking looking for an owners manual so I can find out how it's supposed to be labeled on the back + how it rated + what tubes it uses so I can get some spares.
Please don't get me wrong, I really appreciate his help - I was hoping there might be someone that's better at surfing the Web than I am who might be able to find one; I believe the vintage in 1982-1989.

I looked at the sites that advertise on here for owners/instruction manuals & couldn't find one ~ I'm not looking for something for nothing but I'm lost when it comes to finding one right now.

Appreciate everyone's time & energy who helped - Thanks!

FYI, the PreAmp is a 'Counterpoint Electronic Systems SA 3.1 Dual Channel Tube Pre amplifier'

I have A am 37 mother board can i use dual channel ram in it

Your board supports two memory sticks totaling 2GB. (1GB each) It supports "PC2100 DDR" and "PC2100 DDR266" (Dual Dynamic RAM) DIMM modules.

Memory channel mode

Hi shinde32, you should know that dual channel memory should be bought as a pair. Your board has two DIMM slots as you mentioned. The board can handle up to 2GB max memory, as you have mentioned. What you do not seem to know is it is required to use the same amount of memory is each slot. See the bottom of page 55 in your manual. (Do you need the manual)? Download at this link;
http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d102ggc2/sb/d4798502_en.pdf
There is not a bios setting where you can enable or disable memory channels. The bios configures the memory automatically. Intel has a list of memory tested & passed for the D102GGC2 Mb. You can see that list at this next link.
http://www.intel.com/technology/memory/ddr/valid/DDR2_sodimm_results.htm
Bottom line, both DIMM slots should have two 512MB DIMMS or two 1GB DIMM's. (Like this memory);
http://www.bzboyz.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProdID=18112

https://www.thefind.com/computers/info-spd-dual-channel-kit-memory
This is what your search would look like,
"1GB x 2 DDR2 dual channel 533MHz SPD memory".
The Certified "SPD" is important for Intel MB's.

Good luck shinde32!

try and reinstall the sonic program if you have it. it sounds like the computer did not have the sonic software on it when you bought it, so it would have been removed when you restored your computer.

Motherboard Missing instruction manual for dual mode memory

Your instruction manual for the mother board should have this, however, with dual-channel motherboards, you will want to fill the same colored slots together if you have dual-channel capable memory, otherwise you'll want to fill in the off-colored slots first.  ASUS has it's manuals online, so if you've lost yours you should be able to download a pdf of it from their website.
