I can recomend to your network setup is WPS54GU2 Wireless-G PrintServer for USB 2.0********************************Before configuring the wireless settings of the printserver, make sure to know the following settings on your D-link router: SSID, and wireless security. Configuring the Wireless Settings on the Printserver The wireless settings of the printserver can be configured using its web-based utility. Make sure the printserver is set to a static IP on the network. NOTE: Make sure the printserver is already working when hardwired to the Dlink router before attempting to use it wirelessly on your network. Step 1: Access the printserver’s web-based setup page. Open a web-browser such as Internet Explorer. NOTE: If you're using Mac, use Safari to access the printserver's web-based setup page. Step 2: Go to the address bar and enter the IP address you've assigned to the PrintServer. NOTE: To assign the PrintServer a static IP address, click here. Step 3: When the printserver setup page appears, click Wireless.
1. Just connect one of the LAN ports of the DI-704P to a LAN port of your WRT54G. Try using a standard network cable. If the port status lights does not turn on on both sides when you connect the cable, use a "crossover" cable. Important: leave the DI-704P WAN port empty.
2. Disable the DHCP server on your DI-704P, your WRT54G will be the DHCP server.
3. Assign a static IP address to you DI-704P, different from your WRT54G. Example, if your WRT54G has 192.168.2.1, you may assign 192.168.2.4 to your DI-704P. Make sure that the IP address you assign is outside the DHCP range configured in your WRT54G and that the subnet mask is identical on both.
You will then be able to use your print server from any wired and wireless computer and the remaining LAN ports both on the WRT54G and DI-704P.
It usually is simple, and hopefully the answer is as well.
If you haven?t already done so unplug the modem and the router. Wait for a few seconds and then plug the modem in followed by the router. Reboot your PC and try the Internet again.
If it still doesn?t work then I would try doing a hard reset of your router and reconfigure using the setup process outlined by the manufacturer. If that still doesn?t work let us know and we?ll continue ?.
Step 1 Power the unit off by unplugging its power adapter.
Step 2 Insert a paper clip in to the reset pinhole. Press and hold the reset button with light pressure.
Step 3 Power the device back on by plugging it in. Continue to hold the reset button.
Step 4 Watch the lights on the front of the router. The M1 & M2 should come on solid. When the M1 & M2 begin to blink slowly, release the reset button.
The unit will reboot itself and should be at factory defaults. If the M1 light is not blinking about once per second, unplug the power on the router and plug it back in.
If the M1 & M2 continue to blink rapidly, you held the reset button for too long. Power the device off and repeat the reset procedure.
The default IP address is 192.168.0.1. The default username for our routers is admin. The password is blank. If your router asks only for a password, use admin (lower-case).
