Sign into your husbands account and press alt+ctrl+delete and hold for a second. If your running vista select start task manage from the list, if you running xp i should open up automatically. Take note of all the items in his "Proccesses" tab. Now switch to your account and perform the same steps even if your cursor freezes. The command should unfreeze your cursor and when you compare your list to what his was and there are many things that were not on his it may be time to do some system cleaning via the add/remove program feature in your control panel.

If you don't normally enter a password, reboot in safe mode and choose a time before it went wrong with Restore Point. Then use an anti virus program to clean up your system.

If you are using the same ISP then you either have a virus of some kind, some net-nanny installed or you are connecting through a proxy. I don't run windows or I would give you a step-by-step but google for "change network proxy" and you should find what you are looking for.

Curser freezes

When you said your cursor freeze, does the computer still respond or the whole computer froze. If the computer froze, then it could be anything from, memory, hard drive, cpu, or mainboard. Does the keyboard works, if just the cursor freeze, try using a usb mouse.
