I took my computer in to the shop to be fixed and when i got it back i re-installed my linksys wpc54gx v.1 Okay so i cnanot get online with it when i could before i had it fixed i think im missing a driver i have windows xp on my laptop what could be causing this

You could be missing a driver depending on what they did at the shop. For instance if they re-installed your windows then that would of gotten rid of your special drivers that don't come with windows..that's a USB type correct? Did you get a disc with it to run? that was the driver disc if so..let me know see what I can do.

You'll need to download this software for the card and re-install the driver. You can download the 5MB driver here:
http://downloads.linksysbycisco.com/downloads/WPC54GX_0(2),0.zip
Once you get it, open up the folder, and run the setup.exe file inside. This will put the drivers where they need to go. If it still doesn't work after that, you may need to turn your Windows Wireless Zero Config service on. You can do this by right clicking My Computer, go to Manage, go into the Services menu, and locate the Wireless Zero Config service. If it's disabled or not started, start it and set it to start automatically.
