Question about Adobe InDesign CS2 for PC

Problems viewing all installed fonts in Indesign and Illustrator CS2

I have having problems with my new computer displaying all the fonts of a font family. In this case Arial Narrow. It will give me Arial and dropdown to Narrow but no option for Arial Narrow Bold or Arial Narrow Bold Italic?

My computer has all fonts installed and I am able to see the font as a seperate "Arial Narrow" on my laptop without any issue in CS2.

I can see Arial Narrow and its Bold and Italic version in Word but not in either Indesign CS2 or Illustrator on my new computer.

Any assistance you can give would be appreciated.

This is a common problem with CS2 and a variety of fonts.

Try using this missing fonts loader plugin:

If that doesn't work for you, let me know and we can try something more involved.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I'm having problems with apostrophes in indesign..they won't would type that ?

The problem often comes down to the printer substituting its own built-in fonts for the ones you specified in your document, and having a little trouble with the substitution. To force the printer to use the robust fonts on your computer instead of its own 90-pound weakling versions, make sure that the “Download PPD Fonts” checkbox is selected in the Graphics pane of the Print dialog box.

Copy/paste concern: fonts getting changed

I think this sounds similar to a problem my friend had once.. & it was caused by the font missing or not recognised by Windows. I could be way off base here, but anyway, we found a CD with thousands of fonts on it & installed the missing font. After that, it appeared correctly. If you go to control panel (WinXP) and go to the FONT folder, is the font in there? If not, I beleive you might have to add it. If you still have problems, pls post them here. Pls also provide the operating system version and also identify the actual font thats missing.. That is, what does InDesign see the font type as? Rgds,

Errors with fonts and operation

there is the trick to make it work again:
goto my pc, right click and click on manage, then go to service and applications, then click again at services, look for something that its called FLEX, right click it and go to properties, then there is this thing that its a drop down menu and click for automatic.. apply all changes and restart your pc...
i would be more specific about it but my OS version its in spanish... and translations are a bit different..
hope that helps..
