Re: System Locks Up?

Plug the mp3 player back in if there isn't any songs on or your not fussed if you loose the data which is on it go to "My Computer" look for the mp3 player prefrably called "Removable device" or something like that once you've found it make sure it's the mp3 player then right click on it and click "Format".

This to me just sounds like a bug. Once you've formatted try to do player updates which may remove this bug and stop from happening again.

Good luck. Hope my solution helped.

Arch 504 i change hard drive

You can´t swap the internal hard drive if your current firmware is superior to v1.4.0, because system locks it during bootloading (system reads hard drive ID).

I just got it from a friend and i dont know how to charge it i know thats kinda funny but what do i do?

it charges from the usb port on your computer, apparently the usb cable and the headphone jack are in the same spot, so listening while charging is impossible,.

I have a Centon 1Gmp3 player, have used it for one year. when I turn it on it reads "MP3 player" and does not go to my songs as it used to. it freezes and I have to take out the battery and put it back in...

which operaion system do you use?
win2000, xp, vista or such?
does PC supprt usb 2.0 ?
do you use an apple-macintosh?
(tjing s are different here!)

the PC-based Operation systems should recognize it at least as an usb-stick/removable memory storage item

if not :
- log on as administrator

settings(menu) - then : hard ware/ or system,
look for new devices, wait for feed-back:

- if recognized now, fine ! and handle stick as if it was a disk drive, format it with settings given(all music on it is gone then),

copy the files (mp3's only!), remove and test it!

or :

- if is there is driver problem, whatsoever, take down the possible error code
and come back

Deleted files...

All you have to do is right click and "undo delete" Unless you already disconnected the MP3 player and/or restarted the computer. If your critical files were deleted (like the ones that run the player) then go to and select your operating system and it will install them

I haven't experienced the problem but I've heard of it. Try replacing the batteries. That's what one of my friends did. Sorry if it dosn't work. My friends aren't very good with MP3s. All of them already broke at least one. Hope it works
