Answer machine (by 18 users)
I HAVE A VTECH PHONE AND LOST POWER TO IT. AND I'M TRYING TO SET THE ANSWERING MACHINE UP, I CAN'T FIND THE INSTRUCTION BOOKLET AND I CAN'T FIND IT ON THE INTERNET. I HAVE A 5.8GHZ VTECH MODEL IA5874 VTC-IA5874-R. I KEEP GETTING THE LETTER (A) ON THE BASE PHONE AND IT WILL NOT RECORD ANY MESSAGES THAT ARE LEFT. I DID WHAT THE MENU SAID TO DO BUT STILL WONT RECORD ANY MESSAGES, NEED HELP TO WHERE I CAN FIND THE INSTRUCTION BOOK OR HOW TO FIX IT. THANK YOU

I have followed the menu instructions and I am still unable to record a message and unable to remove the A. We did not seem to have this problem before.

have tried several times to set answering machine to record messages but unable to do so went through whole menu and followed instructions but still not working properly

cannot get answering machine to record messages. keeps showing the letter A. do not have instruction booklet.

I have a Vtech 900 MHz cordless. Have lost my instructions. How do I delete my old greeting and set up a new greeting? Thank you.

We are trying to record our voices so we can recieve messages. The generic voice keeps playing and the message we attempt to leave does not get recorded on the answering machine.

Change phone company , and can't setup the answer machine. Was not pleased with new phone and went back to old company, the answer machine has A on it and will not anwser call. I would the informaton to reprogram the answer machine. Below is the modle that i have.

I reset my answering machine(ia5854) and get the letter a after I set it up but it doesnt record any incoming messages.. .we cant find the book and I am desperate here.. we depend on this machine.. I would appreciate any help that ICAN GET.. THANKS

My Vtech phone will not record messages. The menu does not explain what to do to fix this problem. We lost the booklet. Can someone help?
