When you bring up the main menu you will have to turn off the home theater mode. If you have your users manual you should be able to get to it with the manuals help.

If you need more help, I can help you step-by-step, but I will have to get back to you after I get with a manual. My brothers set does this all the time, and I have helped him many, many times.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I have helped you, please help me, and rate this suggestion a FixYa rating.

If not then please comment to this post and I will try to help you further.
Thank you for your support and patience as I reply.

What does it mean when your 42 inch TV has a blue screen

The blue screen means that the back light is on. There is no signal coming to the screen to modulate a picture though. Also since there is no sound it means that the main pc board in the unit is probably bad.

I had to unplug my cable/tv last night and when I turned it on this morning I could not get the menu to display the cable accept on the menu screen. I went in to turn off the home theater and the cable...

Push the menu button and enter 1370 and push enter and the tv picture will appear on the screen. If it does not push the input button until the picture appears.

the problem will either fix itself out or the screen will go. chances are one color goes then the next and then its toast but can go after blue as well.
