Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
Wow, for a PS2 guru you are so wrong. You should really do some research before posting such an uninformed post.
A Pandora Battery is easy enough to make and "Yes they do work". There are plenty of videos on Youtube to help you out.
You only need one battery and one memory stick 256mb-1gb, and a PSP running 1.5 FW. You can downgrade yours to create the battery and then upgrade to 3.80 m33-5 the latest custom firmware.
You can change your battery back into a regular PSP battery when your done.

Pandoras battery is possibly a scam. I do not know for sure. Be skeptical about it until you get confirmation that it really works. It is one of those sounds to good to be true things. I have not had to unvbrick a PSP yet, and I am a Playstation Repair specialist. From what I know about unbricking a PSP , the Bios Eprom chip has to be reflashed with a Flash programming tool. Even then the Technician has to solder in wires that will communicate between the programmer and the Bios Chip. On top of that the technician has to have a copy of the right Bios Flash data. Pandora Battery professes it uses the battery to reflash or program the PSP. Maybe so, I have not investigated it. My point is, its almost too good to be true
