Remember this: The fan is usually set for low (red wire on the fan motor) for the furnace. The fan must blow on high(black wire) for AC and they do that by mounting a relay on the fan center in older units. Newer units do it by the a computer board. If your unit has a fan center the relay mounted on top of it is probaby fried.

Wiring schematic goodman ph036a serial # 9610058720

Is condenser running? Verify amps to be sure both fan and compressor are operating. Should have 2 wires to compressor and 1 to fan on top of contactor. Then on the capactor (herm) terminal is the remaining compressor wire. On fan and c would be the 2 remaining wires for the outdoor fan motor. Then 1 more wire on c that jumps to the top of the contactor on the other side to which the first fan wire connects. GOOD LUCK.

How do i get my condenser fan to stop running. it is cooling fine but won't shut off unless i shut it off.

Are you sure its the condenser fan? The fan is attached to the compressor power and wont run unless the compressor is running. On the other hand the fans inside the cooler will run 24/7 and are designed for continuous duty. If someone has worked on the compressor wiring you may have to re establish the wiring following the wiring diagram. I have seen condenser fans wired in hot areas to run continuously to attempt to cool down a hot compressor or compensate for a worn out or damaged condenser that doesn't get rid of the heat from the system. If that is the case a new condensing unit is probably in your future. Hope this helps good luck.
