Question about Canon NP 6085 Copier
First error code when I arrived was E002. The fuser lamp was blown in half and black. The thermistor foils were peeling away from the its board. I replaced the lamp and the thermistor, and the copier warmed up and came to ready. Made some copies, and everything was OK. Next day the customer used it in the morning. They tried to use it later in the day, and E003 code was on the display. I went back, and the fuser lamp was blown in half, and black. Is this a shorted SSR, or something else??
Your lamp is not turning off, could be the SSR, could be control board. Replace the lamp, thermistor and the SSR, but monitor fuser operation, make sure the lamp turns off.
If you have a digital thermometer, check the temp when the lamp finally turns off. If it is in Spec. then run a few copies this should cool the rollers and cause the lamp to relight.
If the lamp reached optimal temp but does not turn off, then the control board could be your issue.
Hope This is of some help.
