Trip Circuit Breaker

The circuit breakers may both be functioning properly. What might be happening is that both circuits have other current drawing appliances on them. The circuit breakers react to the sum of all of the currents drawn by all of the devices on that circuit. So, if you have a 15 amp microwave and an 8 amp refrigerator on the same circuit, you would overload a 20 amp circuit by 3 amps.

Hi, I don't know what the reset switch on my dimplex ofc2000ti looks like, anyone any ideas? Power to unit but not heating up, all connections inside fine. Hopefully it overloaded and tripped.

Turn the Master On/Off Switch to OFF and unplug the unit from the wall receptacle. Leave it unplugged for 12 - 15 minutes. That should give it enough time to reset itself. Then plug it back in and give it a try. Also, make sure that the wall receptacle is working properly and hasn't tripped the circuit breaker in your home's circuit breaker panel. If it did, something is seriously wrong electrically, with the heater.

Hope this helps you solve the problem. Please don't forget to rate my response to your question.
Thanks!

Our dimplex electric fireplace model number 28106D3F shut off and won't turn back on

Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF. Unplug the fireplace from the wall receptacle and leave unplugged for 10 - 15 minutes. This will give it time t reset itself. In the future, if you finding you're have to do this more often. Unplug the fireplace, stop using it and call Dimplex USA Technical Service 888-346-7539 for further instructions.

HI THE 3 INDICATER LIGHTS WERE ALL ON SHOWING THAT THE HEAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON FULL CAPASITY!!BUT THERE WAS NO HEAT BLOWING OUT OF THE GRILL!!

Not an unusual problem with any electric fireplace heater. I suspect the overheat circuit has shut the heating element down. Or the element has burned up (that's not unusual either).

In any event, turn the fireplace OFF and unplug it. Wait 30 minutes before plugging it back in. During that time, the overheat circuit may reset itself. If that fails to solve the problem call The Technical Service Dept of Dimplex USA at 888-346-7539, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST. If it ends up needing parts, you can order them at that time.

Have the Model # and Serial # of the fireplace, handy. As you will need to provide that information to them, as well as the date of purchase.

Plug the new fan motor, nothing

Sounds as if the Fan Switch may also be faulty. Or the new fan motor is defective. Is the flame function on the electric fireplace working? If the flame function is working, than obviously the fault is either in the fan switch or the new fan motor.

If the motor has a regular receptacle type plug on the end of the cord, try plugging it directly to a wall outlet and see if it works. If you're able to do that, then the problem is in the fireplace's fan switch or in the wiring circuitry going to the fan motor. Perhaps, this is what was wrong all along and not the fan motor, itself.

If nothing is working, check the wall receptacle that the fireplace is plugged into, by plugging in an electric lamp. If the lamp won't turn on, then there's a circuit breaker tripped in your homes circuit breaker panel. Check the circuit breaker panel for a tripped breaker and with nothing plugged into the offending receptacle, reset the breaker. Plug the fireplace back into the receptacle, turn it on and see if it trips the circuit breaker. If it does, there's an electrical short some where in the fireplace. Look for burned or frayed wiring, as well as bad connections.

Hope this helps solve your problem.

Keep tripping breakers can i just remove the 15 amp breaker and replace it with a 20 amp ??

I would not go to larger breaker size until I knew why 15 amp breaker is trippingIf you find out that 15 amp breaker is tripping because it is being overloaded or that breaker is getting weak. Then I would replace breaker with the same size because they may have wired some with 14-2 wire instead 12-2, I would not feel comfortable pulling 20 amps, on 14-2 wire. That is my suggestion for what it's worth. Thank you.

Heater in fireplace keeps tripping and has to be unplugged to reset (new unit)

heater is drawing to many amps for the heater to run correctly check the circuit it is on and possibly move to a different location on a circuit that has more amps from panel box.
