Question about Smeg FME24X Microwave Oven
Sounds like the Magnetron in your Microwave has shorted out causing it to scream .. lol own purely none technical term .
Its actually a harmonic caused by the magnetron's anode resonating , usual fault caused by breakdown of the filaments , it is pretty much had it a new magnetron would cost almost as much as a new microwave . it may just possibly be the power supply with an oscillator fault but again that is a symptom of a serious power drain problem that also points to the mag ... sorry Regards Vortash
