the best way to get it off is with a 3/4 impact gun after you get crank bolt off unplug clutch slide it off most time it will come off but rare time you might need hammer to hit back to get it off thats what the red neck says
be sure the blades are disengaged. the brake petal is depressed all the way and you are on the seat. might check the fuse. be sure battery has good connections and is fully charged. could also be the solenoid.
