I have the same problem. I thought that I might just have a bad charger so I went out and purchased a new one, but it still didn't work. I noticed that one of the pins inside of the phone had bent against the side of the case. I'm still not sure about what to do. This might be your problem too.

It may be past the point of turning on. If this is the case, if you connect it through the USB cable to your computer for a little while, it can get a small charge.
devices have the ability to "trickle charge" from a USB port on a PC or
Mac. This means that it receives a very small amount of charging from
the USB port, even if it is not connected to its AC charger. If your
device is capable of this function, the charging time will be
significantly longer for a trickle charge (depending on the power
rating of the PC USB port). However, the device may not charge at all
on an unpowered USB hub (or for example off off a keyboard).
If you can then power it on afterwards, connect it to the regular power charger.
Try plugging the Treo in to recharge and then at the same time poke the reset hole in the back of it. This should reset the charging mechanism in the Palm. Let it sit for a hour or so and then try powering it back on.
Could you inform us which treo do you use? If you use Treo 650 or newer, than you could buy desktop charger beside ordinary palm charger. But if you use Treo 600 there's no alternative than buy the ordinary palm charger. It's easy to get this accessories on the net, you could try MyTreo.net or TreoCentral.com
