Question about Gateway GT5014 PC Desktop
There are some suggestions on here for this issue, but I have found no solution. System will not boot. The fans will start to spin and stop, only spins breifly. The yellow (green) light blinks breifly and then the blue light stays on. I replaced the power supply. When I replaced it the fans worked longer but then the system shut off. There was a faint burning smell, so now I know it's thermal. I reseated the mem, processor (with new thermal gel), and video. Any suggestions would be fantastic. Thanks.
Ok, this is a mother board issue. the entire mother board seems to be malfunctioning. the blinking amber/green light is confirming this. the mother board may have some fried circuitry and it will have to be replaced in this situation.
I would recommend extracting the mother board and stripping it. look for any discoloring factors that will lead to a burn out location. this will direct you to the necessary repair zone.
Please rate and have a great day:)
