Question about Euro-Pro Shark GI490 Iron
I have a new Shark Euro-Pro iron and I completely read the owners manual before using it for the first time yesterday. While ironing cotton shirts, apparently a cotton blend shirt got mixed in with the others and now have a sticky brown goo on the bottom of my iron - it stained a pair of cotton slacks before I realized why the iron was dragging. How do I clean this sticky (dried on now) stuff off the soleplate? I tried water and a sponge because I did not want to scratch it . . . .
Let the iron cool completely, use #00 steel wood with dish washer detergent. rise it off with clean water.
