If you just bought Dishwasher ESF2433W I suggest you contact an authorized service center because the appliance is under warranty..
E4 : if overflow micro-switch is act and keep for longer than 2 seconds, the E4 would occur. At the same time, the buzzer will alarm for 30 seconds and error 4 will be shown.
Sometimes defects are generated by incorrect transportation appliances so that should be taken into consideration.
Sometimes during trasport it is possible that styrofoam float mechanicaly activated overflow microswitch. So, you should check complitely overflow system.
At any time, if overflow micro-switch act and keep for longer than 2 seconds, the E4 would occur. When E4 occurs, the drain pump will run until flowmeter keep motionless for 2 minutes (if the model with the pressure switch (83/63),drain pump would run till the pressure switch reset and continue draining for 60 seconds.) and all the other components will be stopped immediately. At the same time, the buzzer will alarm for 30 seconds and error 4 will be shown. Note: Priority level of E4 is the highest. E4 operation is valid after other error operations have done. When E4 operation has done, all the others are invalid.
The dishdrawer is a very sophisticated dishwasher and is very sensitive to dirt collecting inside and in the drain hoses. My suggestion would be to first clean the drawers from inside with damp cloth, especially around the top panel. Buy Finish dishwasher cleaning kit (one for each drawer) from the supermarket. Select longest cycel on dishwasher and run each drawer with the cleaning kit inside as per instructions on the kit. See if this makes any difference.
E4 would suggest a leak or spillage of water into the base of the appliance.- Unplug the appliance. - Put some towels around the rear of it and tip it rearward about 45 degrees. - Drain the water out of the base at the rear corners.
Once drained, try the machine again. If
it fails very quickly then it would suggest a leak and you would need
to drain it again, take the panels off and watch it working to locate
the source of the leak. Cure the leak to stop the fault.
i made sure drain hose was not blocked found gunk at bottum , but to reset alarm e4 , had to drain dishwasher put it on its side - must have remove an airlock. checked turn on and e4 had gone , all ok now suggest rinse all dishes before washing
