My hitachi TV does not recognise my USB device

Usually because it is not formatted to the right size. I.e. Has it been fat 32 or 16 and the the blocks set to correct size.best way is to save all data onto computer.then put card into tv and see if you can format it there then retransfer what you saved off the computer back to it.best utility is free it is called hp usb utilitity which will format varying formats and block size if you tv won't .even when they become unreadable.

Why should u format a usb

Typically USB cards and flash drives arrive with default formats.
The user should not have to format them before use.
However like any storage format it can become corrupt.
Be it virus or read write fault. Also different formats provide better storage space but limit access to some devices/programs.
Hope this helps.

Kingston Data Traveler 2.0 64 GB USB - file system corrupted - need to work on windows XP- Upon formatting the pen drive It shows that it has become a raw drive - wat is the file format for the USB to work...

Theoretically, you can't format a more than 32 GB drive with FAT/FAT32 file system. In your case you have to choose the NTFS file system to format your 64 GB USB flash drive. However, if you really need to format it with FAT32, you got to use the command line or a third party tool. Hope this is going to help you.

    The device is working correctly.

    The '2GB' means 2 times 1000 times 1000 times 1000.

    The '1.8GB' means 1.8 times 1024 times 1024 times 1024.

It's the same number, only expressed differently.

My usb flashdisk become raw data

1). Do not format this hard drive before you've recovered all your stored data back. In your case, the formatting process may erase everything on your drive and make your data gone permanently.
2). Never save anything new on this drive in case that any new file would rewrite your original data.
3). Plunge this drive to your computer and download a RAW drive data recovery freeware to get back all your lost data back:
    http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/raw-hard-drive-recovery.html
This hard drive has helped many people around me restore their inaccessible data back from a RAW drive or memory card. It can also work perfectly on your drive.
Read more detailed information of this freeware here:
    http://blog4mark.blogspot.com/2012/10/help-external-drive-became-raw.html
4). Save and back up all your restored data on another drive in case of data recovery failure.
5). Format this drive to see whether it is fixable.
