A repair man came out once before and said there was something you can do to up the water output. But I cannot remember what it was. Any ideas? Kitchenaid Freezer Top with interior water dispenser.

Replace the clear plastic line with a reinforced braided ice maker supply hose from a home improvement store. The clear plastic lines degrade the water taste.

The only flow control is the water pressure at the water valve in the rear of the fridge. The water pressure is controlled by the city.

Make sure the on/off tap is turned fully on. The water valve could be stopped up. You could turn off the water supply, remove the valve and clean it.

The filter should be changed every 6 months.

Are you on well water or city water?

No water flow to Ice Maker or water dispenser

There is a filter in the back of the fridge in the upper right hand side. If you do not change it, it will slow down the flow of the water causing it to freeze at the dispensing part in the ice maker. Look at the ice maker from the side and you can see the little plastic piece where the water comes down. Reach up and feel to see if there is ice caked inside that piece. If there is you most likely need to change the filter and defrost the freezer. If something else is the problem I can't help you there, lol... this is just from my personal experience.

Ice maker not working/ water leaking from bottom

turned out the filter had a leak. So first shut of the water valve that made the connection to the fridge then twisted the filter counter clockwise and replaced it with a new filter.

Kitchenaid fridge (ksrw25crss02)icemaker slowly stopped working, decreasing in the amount of ice it made until finally no ice at all. also, water trickles from water dispencer.

hi kev215,
welcome to fixya.com.

Huuum at your service.

You said, the ice maker slowly stopped working, decreasing in the amount of ice it made until finally no ice at all. also, water trickles from water dispenser.

The first thing I would ask is when did you last change your water filter in the fridge?
Or if it's an older fridge with an inline filter behind the fridge!
check the shut off valve for the water line that leads to you ice maker. under the sink or in the basement or where ever the line comes from. I've seen where someone turned the valve a little clockwise unbeknown to the home owner and stopped or slowed the water flow.

The water line should be checked too, for any kinking that may be running behind the fridge or some unseen place!

How old is the fridge??

Let me know,
Thank you Huuum
