Question about KVM Switches

SIIG PC Switch Pro 16

I have not used my several year old SIIG PC Switch in a while and I can't find the user manual. What is the keyboard hotkey combination to bring up the on-screen menu?

Thanks in advance.

Re: SIIG PC Switch Pro 16

Some of SIIG's current products use CTRL-F11 for this so that might be worth a try.
Alternatively, there is a ay to contact SIIG here:

Cannot invoke hotkey function to switch computers .Directions say use num loc key plus minus key and release num loc but this doesnt work.

Make sure your keyboard and mouse are plugged into the correct usb slots on the switch. One is labled for keyboard, and the other for mouse. If you mix these up, those hotkeys will not work! :) Also, a much better hotkey for this switch is to tap scroll-lock twice. This automatically switches, so you don't have to hit multiple buttons.

Not working

Make sure your keyboard and mouse are plugged into the right USB ports on the switch. If you plug the keyboard into the mouse USB port the hotkeys will not work! The USB ports on the KVM switch are labeled under each port, with a mouse and keyboard icon respectively. From the Quick Start Guide/Manual: The Numlock hotkeys are listed as:
[Num Lock]+[-] [1] Switches to output 1
[Num Lock]+[-] [2] Switches to output 2
[Numlock]+[-] [A] Auto-scans and chooses which ever port is connected.
Alternatively: Tap [Scroll Lock] twice to automatically switch between ports.
Note: I've never been able to get the Numlock key combinations to work correctly. I always just use double-tap [Scroll Lock] trick to switch.
If you get stuck with your scroll-lock and Alpha lock lights flashing, just hit [Esc] to fix it.

KVM hotkey

Hold down the Scroll Lock key for several seconds. The switch should beep briefly and blink. Hit either the "1" or "2" key on your keyboard to switch to the corresponding computer connection.

Using key bord to change channels

The hotkeys for switching from one computer to another should be described in your user manual, if you still have it.

According to what I was able to find on the web, it sould be ALT, then CTRL, then SHIFT, then the Computer Number (1 to 4).

Good luck.

Hotkey mode

This just worked for me. Using your PC keyboard, boot up to the PC first and then power up your mac. Hit the scroll lock twice and IMMEDIATELY hit enter. You have to go fast- click-click-click with no hesitation and it works great. I still can't toggle the hot keys to set up my mac keyboard, which I prefer using, but I'm assuming it takes the "right" timing on the keys. I'll keep trying.

Good luck!
