Question about RCA F36668 36" TV
The tv turned on made a big popping sound and shut off. Now all it does is beep. When I pull the plug the beeping slows and eventually stops.
Sounds like a capacitor in one of the power supplies exploded either in your high voltage horizontal power supply or the main power supply. If you don't mind taking off the back cover you actually might be able to find this capacitor it will have a huge hole in it.
Capacitors tend to dry out after about 5-6 years and can explode just like yours has.
