Make sure the scanner unit is unlocked. Slide the lock to the Unlock position (See image below)

If unit is in unlock position, you may need to try to encourage the scanner head to go further to the left by tipping the machine and jiggling it. Sounds very amateur, but sometimes it does the trick if the scanner lock has caught the scanner head and stops it moving. Also try repeatedly locking and unlocking the scanner whilst tipped on its end.

Laser Jet 5200 PRINTER error 52.00 appears

52.00 error is a "scanner motor" problem.
Replace the scanner motor 1st, 2nd replace the DC Controller.

If you are not a printer tech, you will need one.

I have a 2430 Hp and with the error message 52.00. I have reseated the connections and same error message appears. I have swapped the Laser/scanner with known good one -still same error message. Put back...

Did you change the parts one at a time or all at once?
I think that you swapped the laser/scanner from good printer to bad and it still failed. And then you put original back in bad printer, but didn't put it in the good printer and test it there. And then you swapped out the ECU. Bad printer still bad. You then put original ECU back in bad and then put the laser/scanner and the ECU in the good printer. Now you test the good printer and now fails with the same error as the bad one.
Now you don't know which of the parts in the good printer got wiped out in the bad one. In fact both of the parts could now be bad.

There's a lesson here somewhere.

Epsom TM-U220 Error Codes

From the manual its probably one of this item.
-printer temp is too high

-cover is not properly closed
-print head is not in the correct position
-paper cutter is not in the correct position
-paper jam

Try turning off the printer, remove the power cable, turn it on again for 5 seconds to reset it. Connect back power cable, press the feed button and turn it back on. The printer should do a self test, turn it off and on again after the self test. It should make the red light go away.

Start up problem with printer

Your scanner glass is get dirty and all scanners make a self diagnostic program when we turn on the printers.
At this point, you will hear a little noise from the scanner carriage lamp, witch is doing self calibrating. In this calibrating time the scanner unit "read" the white and the black levels, and the white (in your case) is not white, is quite gray because is dirty.

The solution is a very simple, but require much skill.

You must disassembly the scanner unit, remove any screw you see (you need an no. 2 phillips screwdriver) and very gently remove the upper side (with glass) from the rest of scanner unit. Please note that is several plastic fasteners to be disposed.

after you remove the glass (with a plastic frame) you get a small tissue of cotton and soaking with an windows cleaner solutions. Gently clean the BOTH surfaces of scanner glass.

For assembly follow the reverse procedure.

Beware to the glass, it has only 3 mm thickness. Don't broke!

Like I sad: simple problem, but require much skill. If you think is to difficult for you, please go to the service.

Error Message

Clean the paper sensor located at the centre of the mechanism .
Switch ON the printer While holding Feed key down, Printer will enter into self test mode, it will stop after printing self test label.
To take out priter from HEX DUMP mode press feed key for 3 seconds. now printer is in Normal working mode.
Try feeding labels, only one label should advance at a time.
This is the calibration procedure.

Blank print out

This is laser scanner error message. The document is not being read from the data being sent. This could be a loose or damaged cable or bad scanner assembly. You can open it up and look for loose cables or connections to the board but otherwise if the scanner assembly is bad, it may require replacement. This should only be accomplished by a service professional as it is not a user serviceable problem.
